Thermosetting

Topstone can be bent by application of heat with the use of an electric or gas oven.

A. For 6 mm gauge Topstone, insert in the oven to a temperature of 140 degrees Centigrade for 30-40 minutes.

For 9 mm or 13 mm gauges allow an additional 10 minutes. The time range depends upon the size of the Topstone sheet and the oven type.

B. The maximum radius for bending is 25 mm (1") for 6 mm gauge, 50 mm (2") for 9 mm gauge, and 75 mm (3") for 13 mm gauge.

C. After bending, allow a cooling period of 10-20 minutes for the 6 mm gauge and 20-40 minutes for the 9 mm and 13 mm gauges.

The temperature should be cooled down to a range of 10-20 degrees centigrade.


Always use heavy heat resistant work gloves when handling Topstone before, during, or after application of heat.
