Installation Instructions

Cutting:

A. Use a circular saw for straight cutting or a saber saw for slightly curved lines.

B. Use a router for circular lines or special edge treatment.

C. If you have a large amount of cutting to do, we recommend a diamond tipped blade with a water cooling system similar to the type used to cut ceramic tile.

D. Holes may be cut out with the use of a router, spade bit, twist drill, or hole saw. Use a template for the hole positions. Apply pressure evenly when using a power tool. Do NOT use auger bits.

Sanding and Finishing:

A. Topstone can be sanded with power tools to a fine and smooth edge. Use an electric plane for rounded edges.

B. Use a belt or drum type sander.

C. We recommend number 180 sandpaper.

D. Use an electric plane when shaving off small amounts for fitting.

E. For extra fine sanding to achieve an invisible seam, hand sand with number 200 sandpaper. Then apply Topstone adhesive as indicated below.

F. Finish with green Scotch-Brite™ pad.
