Installation Instructions

Adhesive:

A. Use only Topstone 2 part adhesive to join pieces for an invisible seam.

B. Select matching colors from the Topstone Adhesive Color Chart.

C. Clean the adjoining areas carefully with a damp cloth.

D. Cut the top of the hardener plastic tube and the tip of the adhesive metal tube and insert the adhesive into the hardener tube. Press out the air in the plastic tube and attach the cap.

E. Manipulate the plastic tube for 3 or 4 minutes in order to completely mix the 2 parts.

F. Cut off the nozzle on the plastic tube so as to allow a 3 mm (1/8") bead of the mixture to be applied to the middle of the width to be joined.

G. Position the 2 pieces and apply the adhesive starting at the furthest point and working backwards.

H. Clamp together tightly so the adhesive overflows.

I. Allow 1 hour for the adhesive to dry at normal room temperature. Remove the excess adhesive with a planer and fine sand to a perfectly smooth finish.

Permanent Attachment

A. For application to cabinets, wipe the to edges clean and place a bead of silicone adhesive on the edges. Place the Topstone on the cabinet. Use shims as required to achieve a level fit.

B. For horizontal applications to other base structures, use a perimeter bead of silicone adhesive where the surface comes in contact with the Topstone. Apply shims as required.

C. Use silicone adhesive for application to vertical surface. Apply perimeter beads and vertical beads every 12". Use firring strips every 12" on center for irregular walls and on sheet rock. Apply directly to the wall only if the wall is smooth and of solid substances such as wet plaster. Never apply directly to sheet rock. Use support braces to keep the Topstone in place until the adhesive dries, usually within 24 hours.
