REGULAR MAINTENANCE Food Spills Food spills should be cleaned up as rapidly as possible with Halstead Vinyl Cleaner. If you do not have this product, you may try an all-purpose type liquid cleaner that is not abrasive. We do not recommend powdered cleaners, oil soaps, dishwashing detergents, or other dusting products. Halstead Vinyl Cleaner is a non abrasive scrubbing pad. Shoe Marks Shoe marks and scuffs can be removed using a spot application of Halstead Vinyl Cleaner and a non-abrasive cleaning pad. Household Dirt Regular household dirt can be cleaned with vinyl cleaner. Some hand wiping may be required to remove tough spots and spills. Always sweep or vacuum your vinyl floor before cleaning in order to remove loose dirt or particles. DO NOT WAX YOUR VINYL TILE. The dense and non-porous surface of your vinyl floor prevents wax from penetrating, causing it to build up and create a bed for yellowing and dirt collection. For high-gloss tile, use only Halstead High Sheen Flor Finish or an equivalent product for touching up heavy wear areas that have lost some gloss due to wear after long term use. For shale-embossed, matte-finished tiles use Halstead Low Sheen Flor Finish. If you prefer to use a finish occasionally on your floor, use a non-wax type product recommended by your dealer.
