Preparation
Basic Rules
Please follow the instructions
for laying Topflor.
- Lay Topflor at a room temperature of at
least 18 C, ground temperature of at least 15 C and a relative humidity of at least
50% and no more than 70%. Please do not air the room while laying Topflor.
- For optical reasons, Topflor panels should
always be laid in the direction of the main light source.
- Before laying Topflor, calculate the width
of the last row of panels. This should not be narrower than 5 cm. The first row of
panels may have to be cut to the right length.
- Topflor is usually laid floating, i.e.,
the panels may not be glued, nailed or fixed to the underfloor in any other way (e.g.,
door stopper). Only groove and tongue are glued! After laying Topflor, the skirting
boards should be fixed only to the walls, not to the floor!
- When fitting the panels, never hammer
the tongue directly, but always use the appropriate Topflor push block. At the same
time, take care that the tongue on the panel sits correctly in the cavity (groove)
of the push block.
Complaints cannot be
accepted if Topflor has not been laid correctly.
